First of all Steve, I feel honoured that you have linked to this post.

Secondly, I hope it hasn't left room for me to be misunderstood? I believe community building is a vital part of blogging, and I spend a lot of time communicating with others, and leaving comments. However, my hope was that the post would address the growing problem, which is, more and more blogs are placing their primary emphasis upon community building, but their content offers little value.

I think if we left a few less comments, and concentrated a little more on the content, our blogs would offer more value to the visitor. I may be wrong though.
