On the CalacanisCast

During my visit to LA last week I stopped by Jason Calacanis' office in Santa Monica and we chatted for about 45 minutes on a range of subjects. He didn't shy from asking me the tough questions either (surprised? nah!). If you're viewing this in a feed reader, click here for the video. Jeremiah has a run down of the content including two "Rubelisms." One involves animals. iPod friendly versions are here.

You need media training...I'm sure Richard can help.

The funny thing is I have participated in them before. Which part raised flags - the waving hands or the cracking under fire?

Steve, nice job. That you can sit in front of a guy who eats donuts, drinks *Diet* Coke and belches while interviewing you and still stay focused and articulate is pretty amazing!

I guess my view is that real world PR fundamentals should be applied to the Web. Preparing for difficult questions is one communications fundamental; another is recognising that handing high value gifts to influencers is unethical practice.

It is hard to talk to Jason, he is always interviewing himself.

You look younger on video Steve
