Find New Friends with Twittermap

if you're not reading Mike Pegg's blog on Google Maps, you should. Today he found a gem. It's a mashup site called Twittermap that plots Twitter updates on a Google Map. If you're on Twitter simply use the l: command (as in l:10036) to tell Twitter where you are. Then you're on the map. The map only shows the last 100 Tweets in a locale. I would love to see a similar model for a blog ping site too.

(Oh and I am sorry that I broke my promise not to blog more about Twitter this week, but you see, I am addicted. The first  step is admitting you have a problem right? I am not alone as you can see from this incredible Technorati chart.)
