Speaking of blogging for the Long Tail and the long term, Google Sitemaps is another essential tool in your arsenal. I logged in today and discovered they now track where you rank for queries on Google Blog Search.

FYI - this is not new, its been around for at least two months, but probably longer. Most people don't know about it.

I had my doubts about Google Sitemaps and Yahoo! Site Explorer when they first came around. We have proven that these technologies work great for new sites with very low maturity levels. Time will only tell but I'm sure their results will even off over time but they definitely give a needed jumpstart to a new URL.

Cool function, just know. Will test.
