Time: Google Plans Roll Your Own Search, Rethinks 70-20-10

Google is reportedly re-thinking its famous 70-20-10 strategy (70% on core products, 20% on new products and 10% on experiments) after losing its focus. Time magazine reports that Google is now focusing primarily on alliances and that the 70-20-10 went slightly off-kilter.

In addition, Marissa Mayer told Time that Google plans to release a new search tool that will enable users to design and build their own flavor of Google search, scanning just the sites they're interested in - kind of like Rollyo. It's unclear if this is an extension of Google Coop or something entirely new. Google has started to promote Google Coop at the bottom personalized home page.
