Sunday Sports Finds
Here's a couple of finds for you sports fans out there.
First, the NBA, which kicks off its season this week, has an awesome set of RSS feeds. However, my favorite is this one - scores. Duh! So simple. Yet it's the only scores feed I have ever seen.
Second, speaking of scores, if you search for a team name on Google Mobile (not just US teams) they will give you the latest score - for example, Manchester United or the Indianapolis Colts.
By the way, when is Google going to launch a sports site? It seems like gaping hole in their growing armada.

Yep. I've searched high and low for a scores-only feed for NFL games and I swear there are none to be found! Same for other sports.
Some kind of evil plot if ya ask me.... :-)

Some local radio stations have text message feeds for their teams -- I am traveling in Denver and heard that that KOA sends Broncos updates to those who subscribe. Send "Endzone" to 68255 to sign up.
That said, the Google system is now perfect. I have been trying for weeks to get Michigan Wolverines football scores on Saturday and the system won't recognize it. Maybe it is just professional sports updates?

Google has a text message service for scores too.

Nice. If only there was a feed with box scores a fantasy fan could write an app around to do real-time scoring.

Thanks for pointing out the link to the NBA scores! Because of that, we've now published our NBA scores mini - pretty cool if I do say so myself... ;)
