Relationships + Profits = Web 2.0 Success

Colin Stewart has a great column on Web 2.0 in the Orange County Register. He says rightfully so that it's difficult to gauge the future of many of these startups. By the way, is anyone feeling weighed down by the sheer number of 2.0 sites hitting everyday - take a look at this chart?

Anywho. Stewart nails it with this final paragraph: "When the final chapter of the Web 2.0 story is written, the survivors will be the businesses that manage to build that sort of innovative relationship with consumers - and make a profit at the same time."

Bingo.
