Kudos to the MSM for Giving Blogs Credit When it's Due

Kudos to the mainstream media to crediting TechCrunch with an assist on the big Google-YouTube rumored marriage. It's a big deal that everyone is crediting a blog that cautiously broke the story this morning. That's the way it should work - the big and the small working together.

It sounds like TechCrunch chose to run the rumor without substantiating it rather than confirming it as the WSJ appears to have done. Would a major newspaper run this headline: "Completely Unsubstantiated Google/YouTube Rumor"
