Google Corporate Blog Gets Hacked
Google Blogoscoped is reporting that Google's official corporate blog was hacked over the weekend. The Google Blog for a brief time yesterday had an unattributed fake post on it that said the Google Click to Call program had been cancelled. The Google Blog has now confirmed that a breach occured.
I wonder if this is going to make it hard to plead the case to the SEC that blogs should be a disclosure point. Personally, I don't think we should limit this to just blogs. RSS should be a disclosure point. Regardless, the fraud risks for blogs are no worse than for press releases or other online communication vehicles.
