Lifehack.org rounds up some nice commenting tips. As Debbie Weil notes, leaving a comment is fast becoming a nice way to softly pitch a blogger about a launch.
Reginald Adkins on Lifehack.org suggests adding value, considering email if it's personal in nature, staying within boundaries, owning your words and keeping it brief.

And bloggers can endear themselves to readers by taking the time and trouble to comment on comments--or by writing the writers of comments personal and helpful emails as you did for me once. Little touches like that mean a lot.
