This is the wave of the future for sporting events. Not only can sports enthuisists stay connected as events transpire, but this a good way to drum-up support among a tech crowd, and internally, depending on the statistics tools that they have engaged, to gauge interest and collect statistics about visitors and how they are finding the Wimbledon site.
