FeedBurner, TypePad to Link Blog Feeds

FeedBurner and TypePad plan to roll out tighter integration between their feed platforms tonight. I have been briefed by FeedBurner on the news.

The new service - configurable inside TypePad - will allow bloggers to redirect their existing TypePad feeds over to FeedBurner. This, in short, gives everyone who uses both services a consolidated view of all their subscribers and access to richer metrics. New TypePad subscribers can choose to utilize FeedBurner at the get-go when they launch their blogs.

A consolidated view of all feed subscribers is great, especially for business customers and more ambitious bloggers. However, I would like to see TypePad also up its game when it comes to site traffic. Hopefully there will be a tie-up with a key player like WebTrends.
