Bob Garfield, one of the most colorful figures in advertising and co-host of NPR's On the Media, has started a blog for Advertising Age. In his opening salvo, Bob makes a great point why blogs are a natural fit for columnists. They give the writer a platform to cover topics that he/she may not have 600 words to say about. Garfield is also planning to use his blog to write his next book, Listenomics, in full public view. The book will analyze the impact of consumer control on society.
