Yahoo Tests Stock Widgets for Blogs
Yahoo is testing a new program that allows any publisher - especially bloggers - to put real-time stock quotes and charts on their sites. I have been briefed on the program by the Yahoo Finance team. A public beta is expected in early June. The program is also open to corporations for use on public sites and intranets.
Publishers have the option to select any combination of quotes, charts and news. Each widget includes two chart types and can have up to 10 symbols. There are also two skins - one looks like the current Yahoo Finance site, while the other looks a little like the new one that will be released soon, except in black. There are instructions on the site on how to integrate the charts into your blog platform.

Yahoo’s such a tease! I wonder if the widget will be contextual and able to display quotes for ticker symbols discussed in blog posts?

This would be so great for me... I manage several small cap companies blogs... and currently use Quotemedia.com's dynamic charts... I pay for the charts,,,, and find them limiting... you can see how I use charts on my blog... http://apll.irblogplus.com By the way... how does someone qualify for Yahoo's beta testing?
thx, great post...
