$10,000 Buys a Month of Ads on a Baby
When I started a blog called Micro Persuasion I had no idea someone would take it literally.
Just in case you have an extra $10,000 in your ad budget to spend this month, you can buy a month's worth of advertising space on Baby Jake (pictured below). The 13-month old toddler will wear your brand everywhere he goes. All bucks go to his college fund. Hmmm, maybe we should called this the throw-upfront - a play on words for the upfront? (By the way, I'd love to see Jake take on this baby who slayed "Darth Tater.")
Meanwhile, in related personal brand news, Stowe Boyd's "Clothe Stowe" effort landed him $3600 towards a nice 30" Apple monitor thanks to a handful of sponsors.

Hmm! Nothing like exploiting a toddler for novelty advertising.
I'm sure he's going to love being reminded of that in college!
Looking at that site makes me feel a sense of unease.

Talk about a global microbrand.

He's such an adorable kid. I hate to say it, but it's an interesting idea, outside of the fact that this is a real baby.
Everyone notices the very cute and especially well dressed little tykes. I'm pretty sure that new moms take notice of what other kids are wearing. Though, by the time he's four, he'll probably have a favorite shirt and will refuse to wear anything else but that. So long sponsorship. Time's running out. Haha.
