A Social Network for Feed Fans
Feed Collectors is a site where users can collect and share their RSS feeds in a social network environment. It's basically another way to aggregate your favorite blogs, podcasts, video podcasts, or news feeds and tag and share them. If this sounds familiar, it should. This is very similar to Squidoo.

**FYI: FeedCollectors is an indirect competitor of my company cobundle, so biased or unbiased you be the judge**
the concept of aggregating feeds for a specific topic is definitely a step in the right direction, but i fear FeedCollectors may be trying to enter the social networking space and i don't believe displaying feeds as part of your profile is reason enough for a social network...that being said FeedCollectors is prone to "everythingitis" (peter)
i may be posting more later, but my confirmation email has not been sent yet
regardless, I wish them the best of luck...

Love the comparison. But Squidoo does much more than enable feed collecting. It also allows folks to add original content, link to their favorite web sites, recommend books, and suggest products -- all focusing on a specific topic of interest, enthusiasm or expertise. We tap into a lot of RSS and API sources, but we also help people share their own knowledge, ideas and commenrary -- regardless of the source technology.
Disclosure: I work for Squidoo.

Hi Steve,
It thought it was pretty cool for you to discover one of my latest projects, "Feed Collectors" even though we are still in the pre-beta stages of launching the site...and I have yet to blog about the vision behind the site and the motivation that got me to where we are.
Any input and feedback from yourself and your community would be greatly appreciated. I was hoping to touch a space that wasn't being seen or serviced well by others. Time will tell.
Best regards, Jeff Pulver

You should also check out ifbyphone at http://ifbyphone.com. It can be used as an RSS aggregator all by voice from any telephone. It also has a voice based social network called Voplace, where you can open a topic to share feeds with others.
