Report: Seattle-PI May Go Web-Only

Media Planner Buyer reports that a number of credible sources have been circulating talk that Washington's oldest morning newspaper, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, will cease printing and could go Web-only.

Interesting. They operate under a JOA with the Seattle Times, which is seeking to have it dissolved allegedly due to financial pressures.

Of course, I only read the PI on the web anyway, so I'm not sure I'd have noticed... I do wonder what changes they'd make to the paper though - do they really need national/international news? Or will they focus locally?
