Google Gobbles Writely
Wow, Google bought Writely, a Web 2.0 word processing application that lives entirely on the Web. The Google Office is nigh. Congrats to Om for the scoop. I am a big fan of Writely. It's a tremendous tool. Try it.

I'm with you on this Steve - but unfortunately, certain tech companies are so tight assed (actually stupid) over security they won't allow email FROM Writely. One of them is to a soon-to-be-fired client of mine.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of writely too. Haven't used it much recently though, although I should explore it's features a bit more.
This does lend a lot more weight to the Google OS notion, doesn't it? An office suite is exactly what's missing from Google's offerings.
What with yesterday's leaked details about Google's calendar app it looks like they're closing in on Microsoft's bread and butter!
