WeatherBug Mashes Up Maps and Data
WeatherBug (a former client) has unleashed some cool goodies. They include Yahoo and OSX widgets, a Firefox extension, plus this neat mashup that combines MSN Virtual Earth, Google Maps and their local data. As of this writing, I can't get the latter to work consistently just yet, however.

"cool goodies"
"can't get the latter to work "
Why promote it then?

Weatherbug has always been synonymous with adware and spyware. The last time I installed it (admittedly years ago) I ended up having to reformat my hard drive. Does the latest version have Uninstall that truly uninstalls? And it's claim that the program only gathers information to provide a better service, is that something you stand behind? If you google weatherbug, many of the links are not at all happy with it.

Weatherbug = spyware. The pure mention of that program makes me shudder. You have no idea how many computers i've cleaned in the years with that miserable program being attached like..a bug to the victim's computers. =\

Eric just saved me a long post. Weatherbug won't come into this house.
