McDonald's Launches a Stakeholder Blog

McDonald's has launched a new blog called Open for Discussion that will offer perspectives on the company's “aspirations, activities, and challenges ... to make a difference on corporate social responsibility issues that matter.” Judging by the feeds in the left hand column, podcasts are planned as well as well as photos. I wonder how long before people start asking about their responsibilities towards America's obesity problem.

What responsibility? Does Ronald come over to your house, kidnap children and force the food down their throats?

Oh, sorry - there's no personal responsibility out there.

And, yes, iUpload did a great job with the blog for McDonald's.

Right now McDonald's is doing a great job in responding to its critics. They've changed the menu, and this blog has just the right tone. Let's hope they become a model for other companies to follow.

A bar can stop serving a drunk person can't they?
