Technorati just launched a new feature called Technorati Mini that keeps a persistent blog search in a pop-up window. Here's a little trick I used to put it into a Firefox sidebar.
1) Visit Technorati mini and enter your search
2) Bookmark the pop-up window
3) Change the properties of the bookmark so that “load this bookmark in the sidebar” is checked
Here's how it now looks in my browser....
