More importantly, he says you should you go to the trouble of submitting your information to Google Base to be completely sure that Google has all your latest content complete with the appropriate link back to your site. In other words, feeding the content directly to Google may help your posts place better in Google search results.

He makes an interesting point. If enough people start doing this, could Google just kill anyone trying to build a site that searches all kinds of consumer generated content - not just blogs? Fodder for a holiday-shortened week.
