In his regular column in PR Week, Dan (cover boy) Gillmor is advising PR professionals how to react to the Forbes piece. “(Dan Lyons) makes solid points about flaws in the genre, but goes too far in his own antiblog crusade, which has howler inaccuracies and, overall, is a prime example of what he detests,” Gillmor writes. His message: “Instead of fear and loathing, try engagement... Show bloggers some respect, and they'll reciprocate.” Amen.
