Amazon Launches Product Wikis

The Web 2.0 news doesn't stop. Ben McConnell discovered that Amazon has launched a new feature called ProductWiki. The e-commerce giant nowo allows for “customer editable product information” to appear right alongside most, if not all, of the items the company sells. This moment represents a huge shift in how products are marketed online. Companies spend lots of time finessing their product descriptions. Now the citizens are in charge. It's all part of the Wikipedification of the Web.

Hm - where is it on Amazon? Others have mused about the idea of a product wiki in the past (although not to include it within Amazon):

I was also wondering this ... I can't find it on any products on Amazon.

Hi! Im trying to build a database with different products and what they cost in different countries! Could you please help me out! Just add a product or two and tell your friends to do the same and this could become something really cool!
