I love it when site stats reveal things like this. Thanks for sharing it.

Maybe. If so, just think how server logs will the new "in" thing.
But, the visit didn't even register for a second? I'm open to be enlightened about how a "visit" can be zero secs.
Or, maybe it was just WS checking you out?

I dug a little deeper after seeing the same host (truenorth.com) in my stats twice (from CHI and NYC). That blog may be on their intranet. Their entire dot-net domain appears to be password protected - it hosts their email and remote access (according to Google).

Yes, site stats are very telling - and potentially quite dangerous.
Last week i saw some weird referers and when i clicked through I found myslef in someone's remote work webmail. At first i thought I was in a livejournal page, but then realized that I was actually in their web-folder. Very worrying actually. I sent them an email to let them know and remind them to logout etc... but a very real risk.
Has anyone looked into these issues?

Steve,
Let me clear up the mystery on the WS visits to your server. We've linked a number of what we feel are important blogs, such as yours, from our Intranet blog. It serves as a great resource for our staff. Keep up the great work, you're providing an invaluable service to our industry.

What mystery? This made the rounds about three months ago on various PR blogs, and no one called Chicken Little and said WS was launching a blog.
You need to change your title to add a question mark, or strike through.
