Seems as if you are promoting DIY PR ... get some blogs, that'll do the trick.
Trying to put yourself out of work, like you suggested about most PR people? Looking for waiter jobs?
And, is dropping PR for blogs really the right message to send out for CK's sake? Is that the best CK message?
You say (in essence), "Make a Scoble." Give away stuff and write about how socially responsible you are ... promote it. Do you really think all of these things will work for every company/organization? Please say no.
I'm not saying that none of these things are good ideas, but to throw them all out there and fail to apply them to rational examples seems to be unsound, or incomplete, advice.
How about offering 1, 2 or 3 examples where you would apply these ideas. Now that would be helpful. "Show us the money." Show us the payoff, please.
How about some real-world numbers / results for a successful consumer product blog?
Successful consumer product blog? Is there such a thing? Hmm?
