PR Week Identifies Media Trends Worth Watching

PR Week has published a list of media trends to watch. Some of these will be familiar to regular readers. Topping the list: portable video and blogs. (PS - Memo to PR Week. Please keep your site reg. free beyond the October 31st scheduled lock down date. It's good for business when bloggers are able to link to you.)

I wasn't happy to see the 'rise of celebrity weeklies' trend. I think it takes away from what's real and credible news.

But, one to take advantage of the trend is to have celebrities wear or try our clients products. A nice way to reach out to consumers, espically since millions of people are reading these pubs.

It's amazing how some of the trends can actually be included in the blog technology.
Media transparency? Done.
Digitalization of print media? Idem.
Very nice article... I didn't know about the PR week site! *shame on me*
Thank you for all the great information...

Steve,

Thanks for this tip. I've added it to our daily summary of important/noteworthy reading on the "Much Ado About Marketing" blog for Friday, October 14.

Best,

There were free links prior to PR Week going to the RSS feeds and the open month, and I'm sure that there will be free links again - a way for bloggers to link to articles.

But, how are links from bloggers better for business than paid subscriptions?
