Greg Keizer writes that Google is taking heat for the bump-up in the number of spam blogs. Most of these are powered by Google's Blogspot service. This is a disease that has spread far beyond blogs. It is also infecting the mother ship - Google's web search engine. Also, I don't see why just Google is getting hit here. Aren't all of the free blog platforms equally at risk of being used to splog? By the way, splogging Technorati tags I am sure is coming next - if it isn't already here.
