Readers Hunt for NY Times Columnists on Blogs

The Editors Weblog reports that readers loyal to New York Times columnists are increasingly searching for their works on blogs ever since the columns went up behind the TimesSelect paid service. A quick look at the top blog searches Technorati's home page certainly backs this up. How long until someone starts a wiki up with all of their columns inputted?

They'd have to check their contracts with their publishing house. Mine tell me I can't upload anything until they've had exclusive use of it for three months. And, when that period is expired, I can only upload my original material, not what they ended up publishing.
Mind you, that last bit suits me fine.
Publishers pay for copy, so the terms are quite understandable.
The annoying aspect of working for publishers, as opposed to blogging, is that material sometimes doesn't get published for a couple of months.

i"m sick and tired of being refered to as as a vet-tran, sorry to all in washington and my dead mom, who had corrected me, when i became a vet-er-an, it drove her nutty and it does me.
