Ten Blogs I Would Take to a Desert Island

Dwight Silverman at the Houston Chronicle graciously lists my blog among his 10 must-reads. Like Dwight, I am going to take up the same meme. Here are my 10 favorite blogs. They are in no order, but they all share something in common - frequent updates.

Scoble: Like Madonna and Cher before him, one name says it all

John Battelle: One of the leading experts in search, which pretty much impacts everything online

Dave Winer: As Dave moves, so does social media technology

Lifehacker: Every day they have something that improves my geek life

TUAW: A must-read given my recent switch to the Mac

Jeff Jarvis: What can I say, the guy can write - a lot

The Blog Herald: We link to each other so much I feel sometimes we're separated at birth

The Jets Blog: Keeps me up-to-date on this year's Super Bowl contenders

Blogspotting: The best blog on blogs from the MSM

Rex Hammock: Rex writes a lot about social media but keeps his feet grounded in the world of magazines

Steve-

Thanks for the plug! You have an excellent blog as well

Go Jets!

Steve,
what can I say, I'm humbled to be included on your list. Although I don't always agree with you, and at times your US centric view of the world frustrates me, there's a reason we cross-link so often, because despite the differences we both love blogging, and the time zones actually help, just for once. I get up in the morning and see what you've posted, as I guess you do as well (despite the fact the Blog Herald is now set to US EST) Keep up the good work, and my thanks again.

Steve ... good list, but just so you know you have an extra W in the lifehacker URL.

Thanks!

can you get blogs on a coconut?

I thought the only time one might ever catch Jeff Jarvis and TUAW on the same list would be in Bernie Goldberg's next book: 100 Blogs That Are Screwing Up America. Thanks, Steve, for putting us in such great company!

I put mine at the top of list, followed by yours, Adrants, Jaffe Juice, Jarvis, Good Morning Silicon Valley, Athletics Nation (Oakland A's blog), The Bootleg (Stanford U. sports website that's been blog-like since 1997, Tech Dirt. Yeah, that's only nine but, hey, I'm new to this. /sd

This article is what I was looking for...thanks! Need some diagnostics?
