Russell Thinks I am Clueless, Not Cluetrained

Now Russell Beattie thinks I am polluting the blogosphere and he points out some of my missteps. OK, I'll own those and I won't hide from them. You know what - if you can't learn from the conversation, then you're toast. It doesn't matter who you are. Bettter to take risks and learn from them than not to have taken any at all. Thanks Russ. Seriously.

» Russell Beattie Writes a Moronic Headline from B.L. Ochman's weblog - Internet strategy, marketing, public relations, politics with news and commentary
Blogger Russell Beattie, who works for Yahoo! and is, IMO, a defacto PR person for them, has a couple of over the top posts about PR people, one of which maintains that "PR People Are Morons." That headline is, well, moronic. Beattie also takes a prett... [Read More]

You write, "It doesn't matter who you are." Does it matter who asks you questions?

This is the third and last ping to see if you will engage in the conversation.

You also write, "You know what - if you can't learn from the conversation, then you're toast." The aim of my questions is to learn.

Are you up for this conversation?

Hang in there, Steve. In thinking that stories just naturally "rise to the surface" in today's crowded information marketplace, Russell demonstrates a utopian naivete that contrasts ironically with his know-it-all tone.

You and Russell should BOTH get outside, though -- it's nice today! Take care.

Forget it, Robert. Steve only deigns to converse with the A-listers, for the most part.

Whatever Russell, I read both your blogs for different reasons.
Steve sending the email was kinda dumb, primarily because it was so short, you never really told the story showing it was not spam ( bad personal PR ).
But overreaction from Russell, I think Steve's blog is one of the best I read online, it is an entirely different perspective & very enjoyable.

Robert, look for answers tomorrow. It's tough for me to get to everything, maintain a day job, speak, blog and have a life. I will tag it. Thanks for your patience.

Russell Beattie again overreacted - everybody is getting spam from PR companies and "report spam" button is enough to never get it again, but Russell makes "sensation" out of it to attract links from a-list bloggers. BTW: He publishes slander, unconfirmed information, vague assumptions, and lies on his blog and represents them as facts, and also he admitted that he is stealing copyrighted movies over Bittorent. Russell Beattie is a shame for whole Yahoo. If you need money to sue him, I will gladly contribute.

Russell has a reputation for popping off now and then like he did this weekend. I'd take it all with a grain of salt and move on.

So, Steve, we all can see where this is going ... your next Podcast.

When's that going to be recorded?
