MSN Virtual Earth and Media Embargoes

MSN soft launched their long awaited Virtual Earth map site on Saturday. What's notable is that while he acknowledged the site is live, Microsoft's Robert Scoble didn't reference it by name or link to it. This leads me to believe there is a Microsoft media embargo out there for tomorrow a.m. It should be interesting to see which outlet breaks the story in the press. However, by soft launching it over the weekend, Microsoft put Virtual Earth (which rocks by the way) out there for all of us to blog about, basically jeopardizing any embargo that may exist. By the way, the Virtual Earth team has a blog too. Welcome to the new world of PR.
