Take the Fear Out of Blogging with a Linkblog
Pretty much every week now I am either on the road or on a call where I am evangelizing corporate blogging. Some companies are gung ho to get started, others are more cautious. If your company is more conservative, one way to get over the hump is with a linkblog.
A linkblog is basically a collection of fresh links. For example, here's Jeremy Zawodny's linkblog. Sometimes they revolve around a central topic/theme, other times they don't. Occasionally they include some commentary, but they don't need to either. What a linkblog is, however, is fresh content. It gives people a reason to return to your site over and over for fresh links to news/blog posts that will meet their informational needs.
So if you're interested in dabbling with blogging, but you're not ready to jump in and get wet, put your toe in the water with a linkblog. You will realize some of the benefits of blogging without all of the risk.
