Yahoo! 360 Team Eats Too Much of Its Own Dog Food
According to Constantin Basturea, the team behind Yahoo’s blogging platform — Yahoo! 360° — has launched a product blog. Unfortunately for them, he also points out they may be eating too much of "their own dog food" since the blog has an ugly URL...

Say that 3x fast!

Well, personally, I wish everybody would turn off the address bar, because URLs are not human readable, ugly or beautiful. I have to admit, that URL is pretty ugly.

After playing around with 360 for a few weeks now, I just don't see it as something that will become popular. I think one of the main allures to blogs is being able to theme it to fit your personality...and 360 and MSN spaces really kill that aspect.

Why did you use that URL when the link on every single page is http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 and it works just fine - the persistent (scrambled) links are for people who want to protect their Yahoo! ID. Every user can choose to use their Yahoo! ID for their blog name.

Your response doesn't address the problem of human unfriendly URLs, dear "360 team member". You can find my response to your comment here.
