Scoble Calls Off Microsoft Legal Eagles
An update to my prior post. Jason Calacanis writes that Robert Scoble introduced him to the folks in the Windows Mobile group so they could peacefully work out their legal issues. This certainly points to Scoble's rising influence. After Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer I believe Scoble is the third most widely recognized personality in Redmond.

I agree with you, Steve, but only as it relates to the blogosphere. Robert was a big help to me in gaining access to the right people at Microsoft to resolve an issue about video ads in MSN Video. At the time, I felt he was functioning in the conduit role that PR often plays with the MSM. Going through the normal doors got me nowhere, but Robert knows who I am and recognized (because he's Internet savvy) that my request was legit.
I love the guy. He personifies new media PR.

Scoble is building bridges. Is there a higher compliment one can pay to any PR practitioner? (Whether they are described as practitioner or blogger, the results are the same.)

Terry, if Scoble is big in the blogosphere then he's well known in the press and you know where that goes....

I know, Steve. A coup! Onward to Redmond!
