It's "Unconference" Week

It's "unconference" week in the blogosphere. There are two unconventional events of note - one small, one large - that deserve your attention's consideration.

This weekend, Bloggercon III is taking place out at Stanford University in Palo Alto. All the heavy hitter thinkers are there. I couldn't make it this year, but perhaps next time I will. You can follow all the action via this PubSub RSS feed.

More relevant for PR professionals, next week the International Association of Online Communicators (IAOC) will host their first online event, called Blogfest 2004. They're calling it "The Thrilla' in Mozilla." Over the course of five days experts will participate in an online discussion about the Internet's future impact on PR. I will be joining in on Tuesday, talking about using the Internet to listen. Here's the conference's RSS/email notification options.
