Google PageRank Studied

How many in-bound links does it take to boost your site's Google PageRank? Not as many as you might think. According to a study conducted by PR Weaver, a few hundred high-quality links can net your site a PageRank of five while 10,000 or more links will get you a seven. It has been well documented that blogs can play a huge role in boosting your company's placement on Google. This just adds another log to the fire in my mind...though it's not a completely thorough analysis.

Commenting on blogs should increase your number of inbound links--theoretically, anyway. So, the more you comment on other blogs, the more inbound links you will have, thus boosting your page rank, right? Thinking out loud & wondering if I'm on-track in my thinking...
