Blog and RSS News Link Dump
Here's a collection of random remaindered links from the past day or so...
- Who Can You Trust?: An article in the December issue of eContent asks "How can you trust what you read or see on the Web?" The columnist says that "perhaps 'trust, but verify' should be our mantra." Our buddy Alex Halavais is quoted.
- Quiet Overture: internetnews.com reports that amid intense discussion over whether advertising has a place in RSS, Overture has quietly entered the game.
- BizBlog Basics: Richard Zwicky covers the basics of business blogging, saying that what it really comes
down to is offering readers relevant, interesting information, and
providing links to resources and news. If it’s good, or
humorous, people will remember it, and soon come to consider you an
expert in your field.
- Meet the Conehead: Tom Biro has an interview with Edward Cone. When he isn't writing columns for the News & Record or working for Ziff Davis Media, he's blogging at EdCone.com. cone shares his thoughts on bias, politics, and how blogging has impacted on the world of media.
- Mine's Bigger: How big is the blogosphere? ClickZ has sought out the most helpful metrics for understanding the expansion of the blogosphere and plan to return to this topic periodically.
- Sharks Jump the Blogs: American Lawyer Media's Law.com today introduced the new Law.com Blog Network, showcasing independent blogs for legal professionals. The Network provides links to specialized blogs on legal topics, ranging from constitutional law and business litigation to solo practice and law technology, and offers commentary, analysis and advice. Comments are not enabled. Big surprise, right?
- Source Surfing: Findory launched another new feature this weekend, individual pages for every news site and blogger in their database that help you find related blogs and news. Here's the page for my blog. Looks like Rex Hammock and I are separated at blog birth.
