Nick Denton is going to the movies again, this time with a blog to support the new film A Dirty Shame. What a shame there's it's a silent movie blog! There's no dialogue. Although the flick stars Tracey Ulman and is directed by John Waters, there's no way on the blog for consumers to engage in a dialogue or share their excitement with anyone on the cast or the blog's author - other than an email address.
Nick, I love your blogs, but movies are about sharing. They are about people connecting and shared experiences. Remember the old kids game "here is the church, here is the steeple, look inside and see all the people." Well, you build great churches and steeples, but I wish I could look inside and see all the people. Please take a page from Zach Braff and open your blog to comments and trackbacks.
