The Yahoo! Search team took a big step forward today by inviting renown search-engine analyst Danny Sullivan of Search Engine Watch fame to guest blog on their site. It's a bold move. For one, it makes me wonder if Danny will now need to give equal time to other companies in the search space, like Google, which also has a blog. Will people now begin to question Danny's objectivity? Danny is a former client. From my brief experience working with him, I can assure you that he has the utmost integrity and a sterling reputation. He's a professional. But I am wondering if this move might change how he's perceived. Will people think he's in bed with Yahoo!? Possibly not, but still this is a bold move for both parties that will certainly be interesting to watch.
