IBM tried to measure how quickly vandalism on Wikipedia, an open source encyclopedia, was identified and corrected. They found that the median time for such a page to be restored was just 5 minutes. This is just another reason why reporters, influencers and soon most everyone will trust this source of authority. Microsoft Encarta look out. Wikipedia is re-writing the rules for how thought leadership is defined.
