Here's a novel idea - establishing dedicated RSS feeds for each of your columnists. That's exactly what ESPN.com has done. For example, here's Dan Patrick's feed.
You can access any ESPN.com columnist's feed by replacing lastname_firstname in the following URL with the columnist's last name, an underscore (_), and first name:
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/rss/columnist?name=lastname_firstname
This is terrific. Now of course I wish every media outlet would follow ESPN.com's lead, not just for columnists, but for individual reporters. It would make it so much easier for PR pros to track what someone is writing about before we go out and pitch him/her. I'm not expecting the media to make our lives easier, but perhaps there's a business in this here for an aspiring entrepreneur or two.
