Like Nick Denton, Rex Hammock today also announced his company will be launching custom-published blogs in mid-August. This is a natural extension of the work Hammock already does on the print side.
In an email exchange, Hammock wrote:
"Hammock Publishing has been approached to develop what is, in effect, a custom-published weblog. It will be a group blog with real voices from both within the client's organization and some voices that are "outside" the corporate structure. Customers of the client will like its transparency and the client, frankly, likes not having to figure out the 'whole blogging thing.'"
Can big media companies with custom publishing divisions be far behind here?
